easter is one of our favorite times at ccc. this year we were overwhelmed by the community's response to our easter extravaganza. we ran out of chairs! it was a beautiful service, remembering how jesus gave his life to smash death and bring us salvation!

after the service it was party time! bbq lunch, easter egg hunt, jousting battles, petting zoo, face painting...so much fun (for the little kids and the grown up kids)!

what was your first job? i was a bus boy at a farrell’s ice cream parlor. that one should be on “dirty jobs” on tv. it was pretty messy

what was your childhood ambition? to be a cowboy

what ccc volunteer team(s) are you in? i’m on morning set up and ushering. i also put the signs out for the morning services

if you had a superhero power, what would it be? i’d want to be like spidy!

your most embarrassing moment? i fell asleep in the u.s. supreme court during a school trip in the eighth grade. that wasn’t so bad. what was bad was that the whole class got up and left me there sleeping. next thing I know, a security guard is waking me up and all these judges and lawyers and people have stopped talking and are staring at me.

the boys in the pro crew and the music team move mountains every sunday building stages and setting up gear. usually a piece of stage like this is a two man job, but things got a bit competitive last night during pack down...

(paul does have brute strength...it's true, but that's not the full extent of his talent. he does all the design for our website and marketing. he's the man!)

today santa fe christian invited us to do their chapel services for the jr high and sr high students. we had a blast and by the looks of things, i think they did too. the band rocked a few worship tunes and then ps jurgen spoke a hilarious (of course :) message. we LOVE sfc!

about one hundred and fifty girls came out to the last cherish shindig, relationship jazz. it was memorable for more reasons than one...good food, fun people, lots of prizes and, of course, the topic of conversation. we all wrote down our anonymous questions for the wise panel to answer. we got down to the nitty gritty and there were some doozies...what to do when your husband buys you a starbucks card for your anniversary, when is a good time for a first kiss, what to do with a guy who is always moody, what to do when your husband wants sex all the time, what to do when you run out of things to talk about with your boyfriend/husband, sex before marriage, what you should you look for in a man, what to do if you've got a wandering eye, what to do if you've had an affair, date night ideas...to name a few. whew!

briana (with the mic) was hilarious! she was our youngest + un-married panel member.
